From time to time your personal health information may be collected, used and disclosed for
the following reasons:

  • Communicating with other treating Doctors and Clinical Staff within our Practice and also

  • Referral to Specialists or Allied Health Professionals for the patient’s ongoing care.

  • To Notify the patients about health services that may be due for review or require a follow-up with your GP from recent investigations that have been performed.

  • For Inclusion of National and State Registers; i.e. Immunisation, Pap reminders.

  • For Medicare purposes.

  • Notification of certain Diseases as required by law.

  • For legal disclosures; as by a Court of Law.

  • For Workers Compensation requests (you will have already assigned your agreement to the release of information on the Initial Certificate of Capacity).

When you are unwell the last thing you want to do is sit in the waiting room for a lengthy period of time. The Doctors try their best to run on time but you, as the patient, can also help by observing the following:

Use BetterConsult when you receive this notification prior to your appointment, or tell the Doctor all the things you want to discuss at the start of the appointment. That way your Doctor will be able to address the most important health concerns first and if you have not booked enough time to address all your needs then the Doctor may ask you to return for any non-urgent needs on another day.

From time to time appointment delays are unavoidable. This may be due to an

emergency or an unexpected extended patient appointment. We understand that
waiting can be frustrating and inconvenient, however, we ask you to respect the
needs of other patients and if you conduct any enquiries with the staff that it is done
so in a respectful, kind manner.
