WELCOME TO
WYEE MEDICAL CENTRE
Wyee Medical Centre
Wyee Medical Centre conducts Accreditation to ensure that we are conducting the care we offer is the best practice possible. This occurs every 3 years and is in March 2026. As part of the accreditation process, patients over the past couple of weeks were asked to complete a survey issued by an independent assessing service. The surveys were completed anonymously and involved rating various aspects of the Practice such as; Quality of care provided, patient demographic. Professionalism of care, privacy etc.
Patients were also encouraged to offer suggestions of the areas in which our service can be improved. I would like to thank everyone who took the time to complete the survey as the results will help us to deliver a better outcome. The surveys will be collated by the independent service and the results will be provided to the Accreditors and also the Practice. The results and actions necessary to better our service will be posted on this website.
Appointments
Telephone / Telehealth appointments.
Wyee Medical Centre offers telephone appointments to patients in specific circumstances. Please ask the receptionist when booking an appointment if a telephone appointment would be available for your specific circumstance.
Face to Face appointments at the clinic.
Here is important information about the appointment time you have been allocated to consult with the Doctor:
Patients are offered the choice of a standard consultation of 15 minutes duration to discuss 1 – 2 medical matters. Such as a script request and a referral to a third party. Or, if the medical concern is of a more lengthy nature then a long consultation can be booked. This will allow 30 mins for you to address any concerns with the Doctor. If more time is required then the patient will be asked to book another appointment.
We respectfully request that patients only address their own medical concerns with the Doctor and do not ask for scripts or referrals for another family member. We are happy to book your family member in to see the Doctor about their own issues. Under the guidelines regarding patient privacy, the Doctor is required to address each patient individually unless special circumstances exist.

If the Doctor is delayed by each patient, this results in the other patients who have booked their appointment time being negatively impacted. Occasionally urgent matters arise that the Doctor will need to attend to, and we apologise for the wait time that this incurs. We understand how frustrating wait times escalating to beyond an hour is and we are constantly trying to find the steps to address this. We encourage all patients after 10am appointment times to phone the Practice and check on the wait time prior to attending the rooms.

This has been a particularly difficult issue to address with only one Doctor being on-site but this situation will ease over the coming weeks and months.
